NIHR Chairman receives MP Abdullah Al-Rumaihi
Eng. Ali Ahmed Al-Derazi, Chairman of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), has received at the NIHR headquarters in the Seef District His Excellency MP Abdullah Al-Rumaihi, Member of the Council of Representatives. During the meeting, Al-Derazi underscored the attention paid by members of the Council of Representatives to human rights issues by strengthening relevant legislation and laws in this regard, to ensure best practices in the human rights field.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of issues of common concern, a number of topics related to developments in the human rights file, and the role of the NIHR in this regard.
For his part, MP Al-Rumaihi appreciated the NIHR's effective role in protecting and promoting human rights, stating the Parliament's support for its professional work, expressing his appreciation for the efforts made by the Chairman and members of the NIHR Council of Commissioners.
